Emerging Leadership Program for BFSI

A joint program of CEEI and SBI, the Emerging Leadership Program is a unique learning intervention designed specifically for the senior managers of the BFSI sector to sharpen their banking leadership acumen and emerge as better leaders, not only for their current roles but also prepare them for higher responsibilities. The program is based on three critical areas to help the participants emerge as a better leader: Managing Self, Managing Others and Managing Business.

Rajanish Dass
Prof. Dass is currently Managing Director of CEEI and founder of the super speciality expert network, Catallysts. He has served as the Regional Director for India and Strategic markets for the Samuel Johnson School of Management, Cornell University and is former Professor of IIM Ahmedabad.

Prof. Dass works on the area of Technology Strategy and has worked with many Fortune 100 companies globally. He was awarded as the Best Professor in Information Technology in 2012 by the World Education Congress, Singapore.
Binay Bhushan Chakrabarti
Teaches at IIM Calcutta and is also a visiting professor at IIM Ahmedabad, CFVG, Vietnam, ESCP Paris, National University of Singapore, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, IIM Ranchi, IIM Bodh Gaya, Reims Business School, Bordeaux Business School and ESC Toulouse in France.
Debjani Roy Choudhury
Debjani holds a doctorate in Change Management and has been teaching Leading and Managing Change, Leadership and Organizational Development, Organization Behavior and Human Resources Management. She had worked at IIM Ahmedabad in helping firms innovate, incubate new business ideas and create a culture of entrepreneurship leading to many successful spin offs and spin outs. She has worked in numerous high impact initiatives for Reliance Money, Indian Railways, Mitsubishi Chemicals, Quest Mall to name a few, the Operation Savdhan of the Anti Terror Squad (ATS) etc.

Pallab Bandopadhyay
Dr Pallab Bandyopadhyay has over thirty five years’ experience as a Leadership Architect, Career Coach, Change and Transition Specialist and Teacher. A skillful HR practitioner, he helps his client organizations to align people strategies with their business goals. He blends practice with concepts through his corporate experience coupled with academic rigor. He is an expert in change and transition management having lead people related strategic interventions in twenty five M&A deals across the globe. He teaches “HR issues in M&A” at XLRI, Jamshedpur. His clients include Citrix Systems, Dell Services, Perot Systems, Cambridge Solutions, Sasken Communication Technologies, Ashok Leyland Information Technology and National Dairy Development Board (NDDB.) He has worked across USA, Europe, India and the APAC region. A doctoral fellow in HRD from XLRI, Jamshedpur, he has received training in various human processes and organization development interventions at NTL, USA. He is also certified in Hogan and Thomas personality profile assessments.
Shantanu Sen Sharma

Shantanu has completed Engineering from IIT Kanpur with a B Tech in Metallurgical Engineering and is a British Chevening Scholar from Leeds University Business School UK.

He is a veteran of the industry having worked in companies like the HCL group, Bahwan Cybertek, Oman and Tech Mahindra for over 25 years. He was Director and Vice President, Sales in Tech Mahindra. He has had considerable expertise in managing and integrating cross functional teams as well in mentoring Managers at various levels.

Shantanu has done many Facilitation workshops with Indian and Global Companies. His area of interest and expertise include Customer Centricity, Creating Customer Value, Leadership, Personal Development, Team Dynamics and Collaboration between Cross Functional and Virtual Teams, Program Management, large account management, influencing and maintaining Business Relationships at various levels. In the past one year alone, Shantanu would have conducted workshops for over 2,000 Managers many of whom are in the leadership level.

He is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. The basic philosophy of this approach is to leverage ones own’s strengths as opposed to focusing only on weaknesses. Shantanu works closely with the Gallup Strengths Community to deliver results to his clients.

Mr. Suman Ghose holds an undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur & an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
He has over two decades of corporate work experience in some of the world’s top multinational companies such as Cadbury’s, Intel, Philips and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

His experience spans areas of Leadership Development, Competency Development, Practice Building, Program Management and Business Consulting.
Suman is co-founder of Inroads Leadership Development (www.inroads.co.in), which equips organizations to achieve great performance and meaningful growth by building critical leadership skills.

Suman conducts high-energy workshops to bring out the learnings from the book as well as other leadership tenets. Ami Shah
For over a decade and a half, Ami Shah has been involved in the profession of creating brands, managing customer expectations & creating demand for complex solutions. An engineer by training, and a marketer by choice; Shah has worked with B2B and B2C companies across different industry sectors in India and Southeast Asia.

Presently, she is associated with IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta as a visiting faculty for Digital Marketing courses. She has authored several business cases that are published in Harvard Business Publishing and Ivey Publishing. Ms. Shah is serving the Ministry of I&B as an advisory panel member on the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC); and is also a mentor at L-Incubator, an incubation center at IIM Lucknow.
Sanjay Mitra
Sanjay is a leadership & managerial development facilitator and leadership coach enabling leaders, High Potentials and teams increase their focus, influence and impact by being more aware of - ‘who they are’ and ‘who can they be’. Take their performance to the next level, address their professional and personal challenges, find their ‘purpose’ and align them all together to achieve greater effectiveness and ‘balance’ in their work as well as their life. Sumit Kati
Sumit Kati is a behaviorist and business manager who has helped many an individuals and organizations become successful in achieving their goals. An Engineer along with his Post Graduation from NMIMS in marketing and financial advising from Indian Institute of Banking & Finance respectively, he is a Certified Financial Planner(CFP) along with a Certified Personal Financial Advisor(CPFA) and also certified on various NCFM modules like AMFI, Capital Markets, Derivatives, Commodities, and Surveillance etc.

He is not only a successful 'Fire-walk Instructor' who has helped thousands of participants shed their inhibitions in the shortest period, however, has utilized his diverse educational background well and has worked in various capacities in the BFSI domain along with a short but successful stint in the office automation sales. His profile varies from a sales professional with Canon India to a financial consultant to a Learning and Development Professional.

Sumit has authored management related books on Sales & Negotiations, Franchising, and Retail Selling etc which form a part of curriculum for Post Graduation in Management. He has also authored books especially designed for some of the well known Management Schools. He is currently also in the advisory board of couple of Educational Institutes.

Subir Das
Mr. Subir Das currently leads the BFSI sector practice at the CEEI. He is the former Chief General Manager of Bank of Baroda. He worked extensively in HR transformation and Business Process Reengineering in areas like SME, Retail, Agriculture, and branch set up. He steered entire HR transformation process in the bank of Baroda which became role model for other PSU banks. His philosophy for business growth was “Qualitative Growth with motivated staff” and with this guiding force he was always an achiever of business targets.
Dr. Ravindra Dholakia
Prof. Dholakia has worked as a Faculty member at IIM Ahmedabad (1985 – 2018), MS University of Baroda (1980 – 1985) and Sardar Patel Institute of Economic and Social Research (1977 – 1980) after doing his doctorate in Economics from MS University Baroda (1975 – 77). He has about 42 years of experience of teaching Economics to different groups like Post Graduate Management Students, executives, policy makers and senior government officers.
