Subir Das
Mr. Subir Das currently leads
the BFSI sector practice at the CEEI. He is the former Chief General
Manager of Bank of Baroda. He worked extensively in HR transformation and
Business Process Reengineering in areas like SME, Retail, Agriculture, and
branch set up. He steered entire HR transformation process in the
bank of Baroda which became role model for other PSU banks. He has over 36
years experience in private and public sector commercial banking and had
successfully headed two largest zones of the bank of Baroda viz Gujarat and
Maharashtra. His philosophy for business growth was “Qualitative Growth with
motivated staff” and with this guiding force he was always an achiever of
business targets. After his superannuation from the bank in
April 2014, he became Advisor and Faculty with Mckinsey & Company for HR
and BPR area in BFSI segment for India and Asia for four years. During this period,
he has advised major HR transformation projects and trained almost 700 leaders
in the area “How to create Quality Assets in banks”. He was associated as an
Independent Director in BOB New Zealand, Bank of Baroda Asset Management
Company and Nainital Bank Ltd. Mr. Das was a Member of Governing board of
Ahmadabad Management Association and a Member, Academic area committee,
Nirma Institute of management. CAIIB from Indian Institute of Bankers Mumbai.
Presently, he is working as a
Director in smemavens.org, a Non-Profit Foundation for empowering SME
entrepreneurs. He designed and implemented successfully various training
programs for micro and small entrepreneurs for the last three years. He is a
visiting faculty in RBI in SME space and also a visiting faculty in National
Institute of Bank Management, Pune for Leadership /Innovation/change
management/HR management/SME Financing and Designed and implemented many new
programs in Leadership and SME area. He is an HR consultant with National
Institute of Bank Management, Pune. Conducted successfully Competency mapping
and Talent management exercise for DGM/AGM/CM of many PSU banks in
collaboration with NIBM Professors. Designed a tailor-made capability building
programme for different banks for the last four years.
An
Independent Director in Dishman Carbogen Amcis Limited, Ahmedabad, Mr. Das has
attended Leadership Development Programme in Kellogg School of Management,
Chicago, IIM Ahmedabad and ISB Hyderabad.
